How to think about stacking GHRP-2

  • GHRP-2 acts at GHS-R1a. Its complementary partner is a GHRH analog, not another secretagogue.
  • It is reported as more potent than Ipamorelin on GH release and less selective — the reason to choose it, and the reason to be cautious, are the same fact.
  • Reported cortisol and prolactin effects are the practical differentiator from Ipamorelin and the usual reason it is not the default choice.
  • No controlled trial has studied GHRP-2 combined with anything.

GHRP-2 + Tesamorelin

Secretagogue + approved GHRH analog
Why it is proposed
Pairs the potent secretagogue with the stabilized, approved GHRH analog.
What is reported in practice
Reported in secretagogue discussion as a GHRH alternative.
Cautions specific to this combination
Tesamorelin's label carries glucose-tolerance monitoring guidance; adding a potent secretagogue is not neutral to that. Clinician involvement is the appropriate route.

What to avoid, and why

  • Pairing two ghrelin-receptor secretagogues (Ipamorelin, GHRP-2, GHRP-6, Hexarelin) is the same redundancy on the other pathway — same receptor, same downstream pulse. The coherent construction takes one GHRH analog and one secretagogue, not two of either.
  • Combining GHRP-2 with Ipamorelin, GHRP-6 or Hexarelin — same receptor.
  • Choosing GHRP-2 for potency and then also expecting Ipamorelin's selectivity profile; they are opposite ends of one trade-off.
