How 200 mg to 2,000 mg glutathione vials convert to mg/mL and syringe volume, beside the labelled 150 mg/mL and the pharmacy 200 mg/mL presentations.
Glutathione is a tripeptide, glutamate, cysteine and glycine, and the principal antioxidant inside human cells. It reaches this site by a different route from most compounds here: it is sold as a lyophilized powder for injection in vials from 200 mg to 2,000 mg, the sizes the glutathione calculator carries, and also as a ready-made solution from compounding pharmacies. This page reports the water volumes the sources state, the concentrations they produce, and what the milligram amounts in circulation come to as syringe volumes. It reports and does not recommend. Two presentations, one arithmetic
Glutathione is unusual on this hub because a labelled, ready-made presentation exists alongside the powder, and the two are routinely confused.
The solution is what US compounding pharmacies dispense: 200 mg/mL in a 30 mL vial, preserved or preservative-free, for intravenous or intramuscular administration by a healthcare professional (Empower Pharmacy, opened 2026-09-18). Nothing is reconstituted; each millilitre is 200 mg, and the vial holds 6,000 mg.
The powder is what research vendors sell and what the one labelled product in this page's sources also is: TAD 600 mg/4 ml, an Italian powder-and-solvent product whose leaflet states 646 mg of sodium glutathione, equivalent to 600 mg of glutathione, reconstituted with 4 mL of water for injection to 150 mg/mL. Its 2,500 mg presentation takes 25 mL and reaches 100 mg/mL. A research vial's concentration is whatever the water makes it: 600 mg becomes 300, 200, 150 or 100 mg/mL at 2, 3, 4 or 6 mL.
A volume figure quoted for the pharmacy solution is therefore wrong for a powder unless the powder happens to have been made up to 200 mg/mL, which the vendor guide's 3 mL configuration does and the label's 4 mL does not.

The pharmacy's 600 to 1,400 mg figures are the two Parkinson's trials, both intravenous. The leaflet's figures are for a chemotherapy indication. No source opened states a subcutaneous figure from a study.

A 2,000 mg vial in 10 mL and a 200 mg vial in 1 mL are the same solution. What the larger vial changes is how many draws it holds, not any single draw.
The stated amounts as syringe volumes
The amounts the sources state are 200 mg (the calculator's smallest vial, and the mass in 1 mL of the pharmacy solution), 600 mg (the label's lower dose and the 1996 trial's) and 1,400 mg (the 2009 trial's). A U-100 insulin syringe holds 1 mL, 100 units (MedlinePlus, "Giving an insulin injection", reviewed 2024-07-21), so almost every cell below is a draw for a larger syringe.

Only two cells fit an insulin syringe. That is the practical fact this compound's arithmetic produces: the amounts in circulation are millilitre-scale, the 1,400 mg trial figure is an infusion volume, and the label's 600 mg presentation is designed to be given whole.
The mixing steps, as the label describes them
The TAD leaflet is the only label-grade description of reconstituting lyophilized glutathione this page could open, and its steps are the ones every lyophilized vial follows: the 4 mL of water is drawn from its ampoule with a syringe fitted with a suitable needle; the aluminium tab is removed and the vial's rubber stopper disinfected with an alcohol swab; the needle is inserted through the centre of the stopper and the stream of water directed against the glass wall of the vial; the vial is agitated gently to complete dissolution; and the solution, which the leaflet states must be clear and free of visible particles, is administered intramuscularly or by slow intravenous injection for one uninterrupted administration, with any residue discarded. Storage after mixing
The TAD leaflet states that the reconstituted solution is stable for 8 hours at room temperature and serves a single administration; what labels and manufacturers state about reconstituted vials more generally is on Medibact's how to store peptides page.
What this page does not do
It does not state an amount of glutathione to use, a route, a frequency or a course. The 600 mg and 1,400 mg figures are reported because a label, two trials and a pharmacy state them, and all of them are intravenous or intramuscular figures in patient groups that have nothing to do with a research vial; the 200 mg/mL and 150 mg/mL concentrations are reported because a pharmacy and a label state them. The arithmetic converts stated inputs exactly and says nothing about whether any input is appropriate.
