BPC-157 Dosage in Units: What Exists and What Does Not

BPC-157 has no label and no published injectable dose. The registrations and papers counted, the 2026 FDA vote, the circulating figures, and units per vial.

BPC-157 is the most searched repair peptide on this site, and its dosage record is an absence with a great deal written around it. There is no label, no published human trial of the injection, and no registered trial that states an injectable dose. What exists is a rat regimen repeated across dozens of papers, a set of vendor figures that agree with one another and with nothing else, and a 2026 regulatory vote about compounding. This page counts what is there, dates it, and then does the one thing the record permits, which is to convert the circulating microgram figures into syringe units at the two vial sizes sold.

The last row is the only one that contains an injectable human figure, and it is the only row without a source that can be opened.

The four registrations, one by one

A reader who searches the registry will find four records and may take them for a human dosing literature. They are not one. NCT02637284, from PharmaCotherapia in 2015, proposed oral tablets of 1 mg in a 42-person pharmacokinetic study; its status is unknown and no results were ever posted. NCT07752381, from Parlay Wellness, is a completed 40-person study of a gummy containing 500 micrograms per serving. NCT07803250, from the University of Arkansas, proposes daily subcutaneous injection for 90 days after rotator-cuff surgery in 30 people, is not yet recruiting, is scheduled to start on 2027-01-01, and states no dose. NCT07437547, from Hudson Biotech, proposes daily subcutaneous injection for 14 days in 120 people with hamstring strain and states no dose; it is one of eight registrations that sponsor posted between 2026-02-27 and 2026-04-01, all at a single hospital in Shenzhen, one of which copies the title and enrollment of Lilly's completed SURMOUNT-1 trial and one of which is titled "Mock Study". The registry accepts what sponsors submit; these observations are what the records say.

Units per amount at each research-vial size

Research-market BPC-157 is supplied in 5 mg and 10 mg vials. The table takes each at 1, 2 and 3 mL of water, states the concentration, and converts the circulating figures of 200, 250 and 500 mcg into U-100 syringe units (100 units = 1 mL).

Every cell fits one syringe, because the figures are micrograms. The question the table settles is readability: 2.5 units at 10 mg/mL is a quarter of a millimetre on a 1 mL syringe scale, while the same 250 mcg is 10 units at 2.5 mg/mL. A 5 mg vial at 2.5 mg/mL holds twenty 250 mcg amounts, and a 10 mg vial at the same concentration holds forty. The rat regimen, and why it is not in the table

The animal literature is unusually uniform: 10 micrograms per kilogram and 10 nanograms per kilogram, in rats, by intraperitoneal or intragastric routes or in drinking water, stated in 64 indexed abstracts on the day this page was written. Scaled by body weight, 10 mcg/kg is 800 mcg for an 80 kg person and 10 ng/kg is 0.8 mcg, three orders of magnitude apart, and both are described in the same papers as active. Scaled by body surface area, the figures fall again. A range that spans a thousandfold in the source species is what "no established dose" looks like in numbers, and it is the reason no rat figure is converted into units above.

What the figures omit

The rat regimen comes with a species, routes that include drinking water, and injury models that do not map onto anything a research vial is used for. The one human paper comes with an intra-articular route, a retrospective design and no dose. The registrations come with proposed durations of 14 and 90 days and no doses. The vendor figures come with a frequency and a duration and no origin. The FDA's July 2026 vote concerned whether pharmacies may compound the substance, and the reports of the meeting quoted agency staff on the general lack of quality human data; it did not establish a dose and it did not approve anything.

What is the BPC-157 dosage?

No source with a checkable basis states one for injection in people. There is no label, the four registrations on ClinicalTrials.gov give no injectable dose, and the one paper that gave the peptide to people reports 17 knee injections without a dose in its abstract. The figures that circulate, 250 to 500 mcg once or twice daily, come from vendor, clinic and forum pages read on 2026-09-18 and trace to nothing that can be opened. This page reports that absence rather than filling it.

How many units is 250 mcg of BPC-157?

It depends on the concentration. At 2.5 mg/mL, which a 5 mg vial reaches with 2 mL of water and a 10 mg vial with 4 mL, 250 mcg is 0.1 mL, which is 10 units on a U-100 syringe. At 5 mg/mL it is 5 units, at 1.67 mg/mL 15 units and at 10 mg/mL 2.5 units. The table on this page covers both vial sizes at 1, 2 and 3 mL, and the calculator works any figure entered.

Is there a BPC-157 dosing chart?

Not from any regulator, trial or paper. The charts on vendor and clinic pages, read on 2026-09-18, all state versions of 250 to 500 mcg once or twice daily for four to six weeks, sometimes scaled by body weight, and none cites a source for the figures. The only chart on this page is arithmetic: what 200, 250 and 500 mcg are in syringe units at each vial size and water volume. It converts the circulating figures; it does not endorse them.

What do the rat studies use?

Two doses, repeated across the whole literature: 10 micrograms per kilogram and 10 nanograms per kilogram, given by injection or in drinking water, in rats. A PubMed search on 2026-09-18 found 64 abstracts stating that regimen. Scaled by body weight to an 80 kg person the two doses would be 800 mcg and 0.8 mcg, a thousandfold apart; scaled by body surface area the figures change again. Neither scaling has been validated for this peptide in any species, which is why no rat figure appears in the units table.

Has BPC-157 been tested in humans?

Barely. A 2015 phase 1 registration (NCT02637284) proposed oral tablets of 1 mg, its status is unknown and no results were posted. A 2021 chart review reported intra-articular injections in 17 knee-pain patients without a dose. A 2025 gummy study used 500 mcg per serving. Two 2026 and 2027 injectable registrations state no dose, and one belongs to a sponsor whose other listings include a 'Mock Study'. No randomised human trial of injectable BPC-157 has been published as of 2026-09-18.

What did the FDA decide in July 2026?

Its Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee voted 8 to 6, with one abstention, on 2026-07-23 in favour of adding BPC-157 to the list of substances compounding pharmacies may use, after the agency had placed it in Category 2 on 2023-09-29 and signalled a removal in April 2026. The vote is advisory; the FDA must complete rulemaking, and the reports of the meeting quoted agency staff on the general lack of quality human data. Nothing in the vote establishes a dose.
