CJC-1295 Dosage: DAC vs No-DAC Figures and Units per Vial

CJC-1295 is the compound where a reader most needs to know which molecule a figure refers to, because the name covers two. The one with a Drug Affinity Complex, the DAC, is the molecule the two human studies used, at per-kilogram doses given once or weekly. The one without it, sold as "no DAC" and as Mod GRF 1-29, has no human study and a completely different dosing convention, in micrograms several times a day. This page reports both sets of figures as their sources state them, keeps them apart, and works the units for the 5 mg and 10 mg vials the site's calculator uses.

CJC-1295 is a 29-amino-acid analogue of the active fragment of growth-hormone-releasing hormone with four amino-acid substitutions; in the DAC version a maleimidopropionic-acid group lets it bind albumin in the blood, which is what stretches its half-life to about a week. The DAC trial doses and the DAC vendor doses are not on the same scale. Thirty mcg/kg is 2.1 mg at 70 kg for one injection; the vendor pages' whole week is 1 to 2 mg. The trials were looking for the dose that raised IGF-1 for a fortnight; the vendor figures are a market's smaller convention, and the two should not be read as agreeing.

The per-kilogram figures in milligrams

Because the trials report doses per kilogram and vials are labelled in milligrams, the conversion is worth showing, with the caveat that it is this page's arithmetic and not the papers'. At 60 kg, 70 kg and 80 kg, 30 mcg/kg is 1.8, 2.1 and 2.4 mg; 60 mcg/kg is 3.6, 4.2 and 4.8 mg; 90 mcg/kg is 5.4, 6.3 and 7.2 mg. A 5 mg vial holds two of the 30 mcg/kg amounts at 70 kg and one of the 60 mcg/kg amounts; a 10 mg vial holds four and two. The abstract of the first study says four ascending single doses were given and names only the two it found most useful; the full list is in the paper's methods, which were not opened for this page, so only the abstract's figures appear here.

Units per dose at each research-vial size

Research-market CJC-1295 is supplied in 5 mg and 10 mg vials, and the arithmetic is the same for both forms: the vial amount divided by the water added gives the concentration, and the amount drawn divided by the concentration gives the volume, at 100 units per mL on a U-100 syringe (MedlinePlus, read 2026-09-18); the site's insulin syringe units page covers the syringe reading itself. The two forms pull the water volume in opposite directions. A microgram draw at 10 mg/mL is a single unit, too small to read with confidence, so the no-DAC convention adds water; a milligram draw at 1.67 mg/mL overflows a 1 mL syringe, so the DAC convention keeps the concentration up. What the figures omit

The trial figures carry a population (healthy adults, healthy young men), a route, a single or fortnightly schedule and a follow-up of days to weeks; they carry no course length, because the studies ended. The terminated phase 2 carries a disease population and nothing else public. The DAC vendor figures carry a weekly rhythm and an 8-to-12-week course with no source for the course; the no-DAC figures carry a daily rhythm, a timing rule (before bed, fasted) and the word "saturation", for which no human dose-response study exists. None of the rows states what a blend with ipamorelin changes, and none says which form a given vial holds; that is on the vial's own documentation, and this site's calculator note says the same.

What is the CJC-1295 dosage without DAC?

There is no trial figure at all. The no-DAC molecule, sold as Mod GRF 1-29, has no human study in the indexed literature; both human CJC-1295 papers used the DAC form. Vendor pages read on 2026-09-18 state 100 to 300 mcg per injection, one to three times a day, and describe 100 mcg as a saturation dose. Those figures are a market convention with a pharmacological rationale (a short-acting GHRH analogue given in pulses) but no dose-finding study behind them.

How many units is 2 mg of CJC-1295 DAC?

At 2.5 mg/mL, which a 5 mg vial reaches with 2 mL of water, 2 mg is 0.8 mL, or 80 units on a U-100 syringe. At 5 mg/mL (a 5 mg vial with 1 mL or a 10 mg vial with 2 mL) it is 40 units; at 10 mg/mL it is 20 units; at 1.67 mg/mL it is 120 units, more than one syringe. The 1 mg figure is half of each. How many units is 100 mcg of CJC-1295 no DAC?

At 2.5 mg/mL (5 mg vial, 2 mL) 100 mcg is 0.04 mL, or 4 units. At 5 mg/mL it is 2 units and at 10 mg/mL 1 unit, the smallest mark on a U-100 syringe, which is why vendor pages add more water for microgram amounts: at 1.67 mg/mL (5 mg vial, 3 mL) 100 mcg is 6 units, and 300 mcg is 18 units. Larger draws are easier to read; the amount does not change.

Is there a CJC-1295 dosage chart?

The table on this page is one. It takes the 5 mg and 10 mg vials at 1, 2 and 3 mL and converts 100, 200 and 300 mcg (the no-DAC vendor figures), 1 mg and 2 mg (the DAC vendor figures) and 2.1 mg (the trials' 30 mcg/kg at 70 kg) into syringe units. The one thing a chart cannot show is which molecule is in the vial; the arithmetic is identical for both, and the label on the vial is the only authority on that.

Teichman 2006 ran two studies in healthy adults: single ascending subcutaneous doses, and then two or three doses given weekly or every two weeks, with growth hormone and IGF-1 raised for days to weeks and a half-life estimated at 5.8 to 8.1 days. Ionescu 2006 gave one dose of 60 or 90 mcg/kg and watched pulsatile secretion continue for a week. That is the whole human record. The 8-to-12-week courses on vendor pages appear in neither paper.
